Melbourne-based Munro Partners (Munro) has appointed Brad Haughey to the newly created role of Vice President, Institutional Investments, based in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Haughey joins Munro with more than 25 years of investment and distribution experience within funds management, specialising in global equities across a variety of institutional channels. Over his career, he has held senior client-facing roles at Black Creek Investment Management, Sprucegrove Investment Management, Greystone Managed Investments, and McLean Budden.

Ronald Calvert, CEO and Founding Partner of Munro, said the creation of this new role and the appointment of Mr. Haughey mark a significant milestone in the firm’s international growth strategy.

Munro’s presence in North America has been growing since 2018, when it first entered the market through a sub-advisory relationship with its highly regarded Canadian asset management partner. Munro’s Head of Institutional & Strategic Partnerships and Partner, Akilan Karuna, said growing the institutional offering is a natural evolution and the result of increased appetite for global growth equities from institutional investors in Canada.
