Sam Shields is a Partner and was appointed Head of People & Corporate Services in July 2025.

In his role, Sam oversees and supports the business support services that underpin the day-to-day operations of the business of Munro Partners, including Communications, Finance, IT and People & Culture. Sam is also the CEO of the Munro Foundation.

Sam joined Munro Partners in July 2018 as Operations Manager and graduated to Head of Operations & Risk where he was focussed on fund operations, new fund projects, investment systems, service providers and risk management.

Prior to joining Munro, Sam gained industry experience in financial operations and analysis at Citigroup Global Markets and Zenith Investment Partners and commercial analysis and management in the mining sector with Iluka Resources and Mineral Deposits Limited.

Sam holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University.
